An MP4 file is a compressed video file that is editable in most video editing software programs. We deliver the file on a DVD disk for archival storage, but it cannot be played in a DVD player. It is copied to your computer hard drive and then can be played through the computer's media player. It can also be played on a Smart TV with the use of a USB Key.
Is your iPhone, iPad, tablet, digital camera, or other device getting full of photos? Are you frustrated with all of the options to upload to 'the cloud'? Would you prefer to work with a business that is local but understand the difference between a Mac and Windows? We can help. We understand digital images. We understand the technology, so that we can assist you when you want your prints and memories, but they're all on different devices and formats.
If you have only a few, or 1,000's of photos, that you would like to organize, visit us at 1263 Amber Drive, beside Craig Plumbing Centre on Central Ave. Bring your devices and the cord that came with your device, and we will get you started towards organizing those digital files.
Here are some estimates on digital storage for sample 2mb photos, or 15 second videos:
1GB ~ 500 photos, 30 videos or 8.5 mins of video
40GB ~ 20,480 photos, 1,365 videos or 5 hrs of video
120GB ~ 61,440 photos, or 17 hrs of video
500GB ~ 256,000 photos, or 71 hrs of video
While USB keys are a great tool for transporting and storing files and images, the USB key is not designed for long term storage. The key requires a charge to make sure the information stays put. If it is forgotten in a drawer for a long period of time, the charge may leak off and the data could be corrupted. You may wish to back up the key on a hard drive.
